ACCESSIBILITY & RECIPROCITY
BECAUSE EVERYONE DESERVES HEALING
Accessibility is important to me, especially given
the work I do.
There are so many people who need access to healing spaces and relational education, but lack financial resource because of the impact of personal, interpersonal, and systemic trauma.

Because of this, I engage a few different strategies to keep my offerings accessible, while still making sure that this work can support myself and Healing Rising.

MY PRACTICES OF ACCESSIBILITY:
-
Offering different forms of support at different price points - free resources on Instagram and my website, affordable workshops for group learning, and higher pricing for 1:1 or 2:1 work
-
Using sliding scale rates for Somatic Coaching, Conflict Support, and Conflict Mediation
-
Keeping a scholarship & work trade application open (with limited spots) for all of my offerings

A sliding scale is an equity-based payment structure where the participant’s financial situation informs the rate they pay for a service.

The bullet points listed below are examples to help guide your self-assessment. I trust you to factor in these considerations and choose the level that feels right for you at this moment.

WHAT IS A SLIDING SCALE?

Choose a rate on the low end of the sliding scale if you:
-
Do not have a financial safety net
-
Have large debt or student loans
-
Are Black, Indigenous, or suffer from identity-based systemic oppression

Choose a rate in the middle of the sliding scale if you:
-
Can go out to eat without thinking about your finances
-
Have a salaried job with benefits
-
Have family that would financially support you if you needed it

Choose a rate on the high end of the sliding scale if you:
-
Own property or other significant assets
-
Make over $100K per year
-
Never feel afraid of not having enough money

RECIPROCITY & THE GIFT ECONOMY

I do ask for a financial exchange for my time and my offerings because this work is my primary source of income and I too have to survive under capitalism.

Yet what I long for is to be able to offer my skills and time to those who need my services on a gift economy model, where each offering or interaction is not tied to a financial transaction.

You can help me live into this vision by donating your time or resources to support my life and work so I can give more generously in turn.

Here are a few ways you can support what I do:
-
Adopt my newsletter bills — $120/year
-
Adopt my web-hosting bills — $181/year
-
Cover my zoom subscription — $216/year
-
Sponsor my professional development — $1,000

LET'S TRADE!

A GOOD TRADE IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY
In addition to offering scholarships, using sliding scale pricing, and inviting in financial support to be able to live into a gift economy, I also accept trades for certain goods and services.

Currently, I am open to trading for:
-
Somatic coaching/therapy
-
Professional bodywork/massage
-
Tattoo-ing or graphic design work
-
Professional photos that I can use for my business
-
Certain artisan/handcrafted wearable or edible goods
-
High-reach promotion support or well-paying client referrals
